Best on camera mic for under $100.00?

Updated: Jul 5, 2019

The best thing you can do to set your videos apart is get better audio and it doesn't have to be super expensive.

The Rode Videomicro is the microphone that I have used for the last few years on every video I have made. I have used it with my phone with my DSLR and with my GoPro. This little $59.00 microphone is a beast and a fantastic simple upgrade to improve your audio quality on your videos.

The Videomicro offers great audio quality in a really small light weight package. Since it also includes a dead cat wind muff it handles wind really well too! In fact it's so light weight that I can keep the microphone on top of my camera and balance it on my gimbal! Now that does limit the motion (especially low underslung type) of the gimbal but it works none the less.
